Quality Assurance

Our products are manufactured to highest standards, and every batch made is individually quality checked by our laboratory prior to despatch. An ISO 9001:2015 Quality System, as well as being externally audited.

We provide a range of approved aggregate options with enhanced resin curing times specifically for the Middle East region. Our Stone Binder systems are considered the strongest on the market and tests against competitor brands have placed our Resin Binder system almost twice as strong in accordance to ASTM D790.

Furthermore, we are proud to announce that the British Board of Agrement has independently approved both our Resin Bound and Resin Bonded systems.

Who are the BBA?

The BBA is the UK’s leading construction Certification Body, offering approval, certification and expert test services to manufacturers of products and systems.

The BBA provides independent, expert product approval and certification for manufacturers, so that they can be confident that their products and systems will be selected by architects, designers and specifiers who need to know that their chosen items are safe and fit-for-purpose.

Their certification and inspection services are recognised by building control, local authorities, industry insurers and the key construction trade associations in the UK.

As an independent non-profit distributing organisation, they provide reassurance to the construction industry, specifiers, the government and the public that the products they use on a daily basis are assessed regularly by an independent and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited body.

The BBA rigorously tests, inspects and certifies products / systems to give the construction industry the confidence they are purchasing and specifying quality; and we are delighted to confirm our systems conform to these standards.
When selecting or specifying a system, we recommend you choose a BBA accredited system.

Technical Support

We offer our customers technical support in all areas of our business. We understand that many customers may be using our products for the first time, whilst others may have used them before, and some customers are looking for a bespoke polyurethane product; all of who require varying levels of technical support.

Detailed Technical Data is available on request.

Coverage Rates

Coverage rates are based on typical coverage rates of applying to a flat and even surface and do not include any wastage. Coverage rates are based on a flat non-porous surface, the installer may need to allow extra materials if the surface is not in this condition.

Installation

An experienced contractor should carry out the installation; details of contractors in your area can be obtained by contacting the company.

Detailed installation instructions are available on request.

Site Attendance

If able, our representatives can visit the site to offer advice and direction on the correct installation methods for our systems. Please note that Making Ground is not an Application Contractor and it is therefore the responsibility of the Contractor to correctly install. Making Ground and it’s representative(s) take no responsibility or liability for the installation.

Equipment

The Installer will have to provide the following, including but not limited to: suitable mixers, release aid, tape, rollers for the primer and trowels as normally expected, and complete a day sheet for each day on site.

Day / Audit Sheets

The Installer is required to complete a day sheet for each and every day on site. We will need to receive a fully completed day sheet for each day of the project to be able to issue a final warranty.

Own Brand Labelling

If you want to build your own brand, we can supply Resin Binders in your own name and logo with our custom labelling service. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Important Note

Many systems exist in the market but all utilise the basic material content of polyurethane resin binder and aggregate. Alternative systems may use different grades of resin and if not UV stabilised will discolour and ‘yellow’ in UV exposure. Alternative systems using other types of resin (Epoxy, Acrylics, etc.) should not be considered.

The system will only be as strong as the weakest component; therefore aggregate choice is also very important. Whilst the system may appear the same, inadvertently you may be choosing an inferior product.

All recommendations and suggestions are based on normal good practices; they do not absolve the specifier, contractor, applicator from constructing the system fit for intended purpose / traffic / ground condition / etc.

The information is to provide clients, specifiers and installers with guidance on the basic requirements, specification, installation and maintenance of our Resin Binder system.
